Nitey-Nite
Comissioned to be projected on the exterior of the Colony Theater, Miami Beach, for Sleepless Night '07. Nitey-Nite is a collaborative project between dancer/choreographer/performance artist Nikki Rollason and filmmaker/artist Clifton Childree.
Two 16mm projectors project the films side by side creating what looks to be one image of a couple's bedroom interior (look closely at the center split in the image). Projections are looped in different lengths and film runs continuously. This difference in film length makes the timing of the interaction between the couple change with each looping sequence only to catch up to the original synched beginning hours later.
