Miamuh Swamp Adventure
2009
16mm film and found material
20' x 20'
Miamuh Swamp Adventure was commissioned by Ernst Hilger/Hilger Contemporary for the Pulse Art Fair NY, March '09. A 16mm film is projected inside this run down dilapidated silent cinema/arcade game. The film comments on the real estate scams happening in South Florida during the early 1900s. The film looks to be as rotten as the structure. The texture of the film (scratches, skipping frames, abrupt edits, etc..) have a direct relation with the story and emotion of the film, changing it from a silly slapstick comedy into a complete nightmare.
